You will be able to edit an active sequence in Datananas. That is to say a sequence in which one or several contacts are active. To recognize an active sequence, you just have to look at the dot on the left of the sequence. Active sequences have a green dot.

Here are the elements you will be able to edit:

  • An email of your sequence for a contact
  • An email of your sequence for all contacts
  • Title of your sequence
  • Parameters of your sequence

1) Edit an email of your sequence for a contact:

Go to the Emails tab of your sequence, more precisely to the Scheduled sub-tab. On each line you will find the email address of the contact and the next step scheduled for this contact in the sequence on the right of the screen.

Just click on the email you want to edit and click on the small pencil in the top right corner of the email. It is only possible to edit emails in the Scheduled sub-tab.

Once the changes have been made, you can click on Save.

2) Edit an email of your sequence for all contacts:

Go to the Edit tab of your sequence. You will be able to modify the content of each step of your sequence. To do so, you must click on the subject or body of the email you want to modify in order to make the desired changes.

Once the changes have been made, you can click on Save Sequence.

Be careful: You cannot change the order of your steps, the scheduled date of your steps or add other steps to your sequence.

Specific case: If you edit a step that was previously modified for a contact in one of the two following ways:

  • Edited manually for a contact in the Email tab of your sequence (see point 1 in this article)
  • Edited when scheduling your sequence (see article : Schedule a sequence)

The following message will appear:

In this case you have 2 options:

  • Toggle on: If you want to keep the steps you edited previously, you must enable the toggle Keep manually edited steps and click on Confirm.
  • Toggle off: If you don't want to keep the steps you edited previously and want to apply the changes you just made, just leave the toggle Keep manually edited steps off and click on Confirm.

3) Edit the title of your sequence:

Go to the Edit tab of your sequence. You will be able to change the title of your sequence. To do so, you must click on the title of your sequence and make the desired changes.

Once the changes have been made, you can click on Save Sequence.

4) Edit the parameters of your sequence:

Go to the Paremeters tab of your sequence. You will be able to edit the parameters of your sequence.

Be careful: You cannot change the sending schedule that has been used.

Once the changes have been made, you can click on Save Sequence.
